From Kings Cross to Potters Bar is one continuous uphill slog with locomotives working hard to

build up speed, and through the north London environs one could almost guarantee a good exhaust

   on any down trains.

The stations along this section were all standard Great Northern Railway design until Potters Bar,

so it is not always easy to identify them. This section of line and New Barnet and Hadley Wood

were my favourite locations and luckily for me,  the most easily accessible.

Oh such happy days.
