These images we have
obtained are wholly copyright, I cannot claim that I
took the photographs; I was not even born at that time. These shots depict the
Great Northern section of the LNER in what must have been the most exciting
times of The vast majority of
photographs are taken on glass half plate, a few on half plate film! Unfortunately there is very little detail on the
negative sleeve, sometimes the date, sometimes the location, rarely both and
never the train being worked. This is where you come in, a
lot of the details we have had to guess, but if you know better please let us
know via the Contact page and we will make the
necessary alterations, please don’t hesitate, we really need your help!!! These images are strictly
