Holloway
|
I had known about Holloway for a long time
due to my various journeying from
Kings Cross, but could not find a way in until early
in 1958 when I found the signalman’s entrance to the down side, I managed to convince him I
was not a vandal or bent on suicide and seeing I was harmless, he persevered
with my presence. Shortly afterwards the signalman on the up side invited me over, it was there that I made
friends with a gang of platelayers, it was through them that I was able
to take some of the shots below. Today it would be impossible and though some of the locations
look dangerous I had the maintenance gang behind me. I am eternally grateful to them for
their assistance. All photographs are Copyright. V2
